Athens is synonymous with music in East Texas. From the early days of The Old Fiddler's Reunion, there has always been a song in the air of this East Texas town where young people grew up listening to Bluegrass, Country and Gospel Music played locally on the town square courthouse each year in May. The tradition of The Old Fiddlers still lives on.

Texas Gospel Music Hall's primary function in Athens is to offer East Texas the greatest groups in Gospel music. Inviting nationally known Southern Gospel and sometimes Bluegrass Gospel recording artists. Families can come together to enjoy inspirational songs that boost their morale and gives encouragement.

Anytime there is a great concert at the Music Hall, expect to hear quality Gospel Groups and plenty of laughter!

The Music Hall seats close to 500 people in a comfortable cushioned chairs and offers air/heat, wheel chair accessibility, covered drive entrance, snack bar, no smoking facility and plenty of parking. No alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed!
